I blend somatic therapy, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Brainspotting, and mindfulness to help my clients connect to themselves more deeply and move towards a place of healing and self-compassion.

I believe that each person has inside of them the capacity to heal themselves. It is my job as your therapist to walk with you through your process and to guide you to the deeper, less accessible places in your mind, emotions, and body along the way. We will be working together to re-discover your truth, your intuition, your most authentic self.

People often approach therapy wanting to quickly make some big changes in their lives. But old habits and ways of being don’t just dissolve into thin air - in our sessions, we will work towards building awareness of how you exist in the world and how certain aspects may be getting in the way of you living your best life. With awareness & understanding, you can begin to engage with yourself, the people around you, and the world at large in a new way.

how I work:

  • Somatically Oriented - meaning that of course there is value in cognition, thoughts, and stories, but I also believe that there is a lot of information held in our bodies that wants to be known. We have been conditioned to disregard these messages and feelings and I hope therapy can be a safe space to tune into the body.

  • Relational - I am not the kind of therapist silently nodding with the occasional “mhm”. I aim to create a safe space and a positive relationship with my clients so they can feel supported and seen while feeling challenging things.

  • Social Justice Oriented - I am committed to my own personal work around racism, white supremacy, and internal biases. I am conversing consistently with myself, peers, and colleagues about decolonizing therapy. In sessions with my clients, I hold that all of the intersections of identity (gender, sexuality, race, ethnicity, class, ability, etc.) and the systems that operate around you impact your physical safety and mental health.

  • Trauma-Informed - Trauma can take on endless shapes and forms - sometimes it is a one-time happening and other times trauma can occur over a long period of time. The effects of trauma can impact a person’s life in a big way. I work with trauma using Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and Brainspotting, both are somatic trauma modalities used to support my clients through healing with compassion, patience, and care.
