Centering the Mind-Body Connection; Trauma-Informed
Somatic therapy
Connecting to yourself, others, and the world around you in a new way
Most of us have been conditioned since childhood to ignore important messages and information that our bodies are trying to communicate. The headache when you’ve spent too much time on a computer, the upset stomach before dinner with family, the tension in your shoulders when in conflict with a partner, etc.
You’ve spent years pushing through discomfort but find that these familiar emotions or sensations keep popping up. Maybe you experience chronic pain, digestive issues, intense anxiety, PTSD symptoms, periods of deep depression, and/or burnout.
In therapy, we can practice slowing down and getting curious about the wisdom being communicated by your body and emotions. When we understand ourselves more, we can connect more deeply to others and the world around us.
Change is a two-step process, first and foremost awareness must be cultivated for any change to be possible. I am passionate about creating a safe space for my clients to slow down & pay attention to all of the parts of themselves that they so often forget or ignore. The wounds, traumas, grief, joy, & growth can all be acknowledged and integrated. Hopefully, resulting in a more meaningful and connected experience in the busy world.
